  September 18, 2020 - shared with pat at selkirk manor to celebrate surviving another week during the pandemic. last tasted 8/2018. see that note for more complete description. on current tasting, wine seems to have put on some weight resulting in a fuller mouth feel. no signs of deterioration. still shows cherry fruit. not complex but enjoyable, none the less.

  February 24, 2020 - Opened this wine that was still made by Joe Wagner before he sold this wine product, that was recommended by wine stores for customers who wanted an affordable Pinot Noir that was opaque dark, big bodied, richer, and even tannic, closer to what might be called a Pinot Noir for Cabernet Sauvignon lovers. And the aged wine is impressively good, opaque black in color, with no sugar sweetness or raisin flavors, ample black cherry typical for richer power house Pinots. Outstanding match with potato salad and even curried chicken thigs. Overall, an ageworthy Pinot Noir, impressively rounded, integrated, and richer from additional bottle age.
