March 2, 2024 - Pale yellow almost clear; nose of brioche, cardamon, hint of citrus; given it's age still very crisp, citrus flavors, medium full bodied, sl sweet, long finish; very stylish given it's age
November 5, 2018 - Tasted on day 2
-translucent pale gold green
-reduction that somewhat blows off to reveal some green apple
-med+ piercing lemony acidity perfectly cuts through the med- weight but quite sappy but one-dimensional stony fading citrus apple mid-palate, OK length
-remarkable quality for the level, this bottle is firing on all cylinders now
March 18, 2018 - Very good value chablis. Buy it if you can find at Costco fo about $16. A steal.
November 11, 2016 - Tasted over 2 hrs
-translucent pale yellow-green
-subtle sea breeze and citrus
-med/med+ acidity crisp but not shrill, light weight but relatively expansive on the palate, some mineral saline and citrus elements, not overly complex or long
-extremely pleasant, lean with plenty of Chablis typicity, on the subtle side as much of the primary fruit has faded, drink now
February 14, 2016 - Great producer. No CA chard can compare for the price.
November 28, 2015 - You just cannot beat the QPR. Puts most $50 CA Chard to shame.
September 12, 2015 - From a half bottle.
In top condition now, I like it for its transparency, elegance and easy drinking. Always favorable.
September 7, 2015 - See prior notes
June 27, 2015 - Sure beats any Calif Chard for the price. No comparison.
June 3, 2015 - Monthly Tasting Group EEE #039; Burgundy: Chablis (@ JWS): Fully blind note in a Chablis tasting. White fruits like green apples and some litchi in the bouquet. Minerals and smoke as well. Same impressions on the palate, lime and grapefruit acidity and bitterness. Good wine. Early maturity now and some 4+ years of future. For now 87 – 88+
