June 25, 2021 - After 21 years it has help up exceptionally well - decanted for 24 hours, still a vibrant red, tannis are all softened out, fruit is almost all but gone.

December 23, 2018 - It's held up surprisingly well. Definitely at it's prime.

March 12, 2017 - Fruit Day - Definite browning in colour and fully mature. Nose of leather, dried red fruit (cherry, red currant), tobacco... all tertiary components. The leather, fruit and tobacco are there on the palate as well and the medium plus length finish carries them on. Fully mature and theres no need to hold it any longer but it certainly isn't over the hill by any means. All who tasted it recognized it was aged but none came close to guess 16 years - most were in the 8-10 year range.
