February 28, 2019 - Last bottle, still a bit of fruit left but its best days are behind it.
April 15, 2018 - Cloudy with some fine sediment. Red fruit of mostly cherry and raspberry on a light plus bodied frame. High acidity that is fairly tart and does not alter with air, nor do the tannins, which are soft and resolved at this point. Don't think this will get any better.
December 2, 2016 - Mostly CdP (Dr. M's in Ohio City): A Cal wine that is a GSM blend. The Grenache completely dominates the blend IMO. Ruby in color. The nose has cherries and raspberries. On the palate, there is some depth. Cherries. Nice easy finish. Drinking well but not sure it gets any better. I got the impression this is around $25 and if so, that is a nice solid value.
November 4, 2015 - Close to peaking. This bottle was mostly raspberry, also blackberry/blueberry; underneath were hints of earth, spice and citrus. Integrated medium acid/tannins/finish. Drinking well now but worth following for another few years.
October 9, 2015 - tasted much better after decanting and the 2nd/3rd nights
really nice fruit taste and smell- mostly reminding me of ripe plums with just a hint of sour on the finish- but not distractingly so. I thought there was a little tiny bit of pepper the first night, but it wasn't there later.
August 27, 2015 - There are some nice characteristics buried in this wine. Unfortunately, they are hidden beneath too much tart acidity.
August 18, 2014 - corked
July 21, 2014 - Better than my first note last year. Great stuff and one of my favorite values.
April 16, 2014 - Tart blackberries, dry herb notes and throwing loads of sediment. Not my cup of tea. Did not improve over two nights.
January 19, 2014 - Maybe it tastes so good because I've had a hard weekend, but even 48 hours after opening this one is really still singing. Delicious wine that could use a little more lushness (not a word), but it's got a lot of character and no angularity. I think it would benefit from some time, I suspect the fruit would come out more.
