April 14, 2024 - In the nose you notice the age, slight cellar odour... good in the mouth, the fruit is still there, a little forest floor and tobacco... is coming to the end and should be drunk now, but only if the bottle has been in a good cellar.
November 19, 2023 - This wine was quite lovely. Good fruit and none of the green pepper notes I’ve seen on other reviews. Very enjoyable old Paulliac.
January 1, 2022 - Still has fruit. Very enjoyable Pauillac with fresh bell peppers and integrated fruit.
December 10, 2021 - Firm, crisp, crunchy, bright red fruits, cedar, tobacco leaf, peppery herbs and forest leaf are at the open and core of the wine. Medium-bodied, bright, vibrant red currant and a touch of peppery cranberry on the palate feels vigorous in the finish. This is fully ready to go.
June 13, 2020 - Still has fruit; strong aromas and taste of peppers.
March 6, 2020 - Mature Bordeaux with elegance and clean finish.
February 16, 2020 - Nice mature claret. Cassis and cedar. Mellow, good Sunday dinner wine.
December 25, 2019 - Showing a lot of youthful virility at 25; a pristine cork, curranty nose and deep crimson color. I would have guessed this to be a decade younger. Fruit takes a back seat, but I very much enjoyed the savory tang that takes the lead. There are currants and cranberries to round out the profile. This bottle was rather better than expected. It would certainly let down anyone with a sweet tooth though.
