August 7, 2021 - Gorgeous and complex nose - so much going on, with petrol, stone fruits and minerality. So nice, you almost don't want to drink it ;^)

Pretty impressive on the palate as well - really spreads out. I think I mentioned this in my last note, but for a Trocken Riesling, this has some serious palate presence. Drinking great at 10 years of age.

June 9, 2021 - I’m getting towards the end of a case of this that I bought on release, and this is still drinking nicely, although surprisingly enough (at least to me) the wine now shows a richness to the fruit that I don’t previously recall and wouldn’t generally expect with a Trocken-styled wine.

It has lost some of it’s early angularity with the years, and feels like it has comfortably settled into middle age at this point. If I think of doing so, I may put away a bottle to check in on it in another five years just to see what’s happened in the interim, but this is pretty decent at age 10.

November 8, 2020 - Similar in color to the ‘04 I just tried, but this is clearly more lively on the palate. Sweet and tart white fruits, ample acidity and decent persistence. Drinks fine by itself, but I’m grilling up some boneless pork chops later today and this should be fine with those as well.

January 6, 2020 - This wine has hit its sweet spot. Better as it warms up. A hint of petrol on the nose. But after the hint the fruit aromatics take over. Stone fruits with a hint of tropical. Vibrant acidity without being too tart. I like this quite a bit. Great with a spicy Indonesian chicken soup!

January 26, 2019 - Lovely nose, with a hint of sweetness and tropical fruit as well.

Despite the nose, quite dry on the palate, although there is a lot going on here. I like this, but couldn't single out anything specifically as to why I do.
