September 19, 2014 - Brouilly is one of my favorite Beaujolais appellations and this one is exceptionally good.

August 18, 2014 - I don't have a lot of experience with the gamay. Compared to the J. Chamonard Morgon I recently had (gave that one an 89), this was a small disappointment. Not as light and fresh as I expected. And the strawberry nose I like was hard to pick up. Is it because it was a year older ('11 vs. the Chamonard's '12)?

June 7, 2014 - Very true expression of Gamay, quite fresh with a red fruit profile and plenty of acidity. A bit of back end bitterness necessitated its service with food, but tant pis, non?

November 25, 2013 - Through the Heart of France; 11/17/2013-11/25/2013 (Centre, Aubrac, Languedoc and Paris): Light red. Tart cherry. Light, carefree fruit, a twist of cranberry, very saline finish. Very Gamay. It only emphasizes how much deeper and complex the Morgon Vieilles Vignes is after having that the other day.

October 8, 2013 - Délicieux Beaujolais tout en fruits rouges. Tanins assez fermes qui laissent supposer une garde moyenne à longue, mais très bon présentement.
