October 9, 2019 - The cork broke upon popping. Initially rather vibrant nose of overripe and bruised apples and some pear aromas. With a bit of airtime the nose settled down, showing ripe apples, apricot, light oxidative sherry notes. Medium bodied and rather dry on the palate, showing subtle ripe apple, a bit apricot, minerals, light sherry notes. Overall slightly pungent and poised. I think it´s in a great spot now. Still some fresh fruit left. But I know some like it more matured and oxidized.

September 17, 2019 - Scents of bee pollen, chamomile, and dehydrated apple. This continues to be a wine of contemplation. I can see lots of people not liking this, but it’s thought provoking, medium bodied, medium+ acid, and had a lingering finish that leads in with white tea and finishes with mango and passion fruit. Outstanding!!

July 4, 2019 - Toasty and robust with a clean, linear and lasting finish. Honeyed overtones hit nose and palate marrying sweet, nutty notes with a pleasant dose of salinity. Showing beautifully, though the wine isn’t lacking in possibility with a few more years of sleep.

January 25, 2019 - First of a small tranche of six bottles supplied directly from the importer and my first experience with Musar’s Blanc. Opened an hour before serving...should have been much longer. Light golden color...striking to behold. Wild aromas of marmalade, stone fruits, orange blossom. On the palate it’s much the same with lovely acidity and minerality. This bottle came across remarkably young. The late Serge Hochar once said that his white wines seemed to become more fresh with age. That statement, at the time, seemed absurd to me but what the hell do I know. This bottle seems to prove he was right and that he had and incredible understanding of his wines. I’m in no particular rush to drink my five remaining bottles but one thing is for certain, I will likely decant my next bottle for an extended period, similar to the way I treat their Rouge. World class.

June 26, 2018 - Really broad, waxy, slightly oxidized, and brimming with interest right after opening but unfortunately tails off a bit after being open and warming for a while, which is how Serge said this wine should be served.
A cousin to Kalin, Lopez de Heredia, and Ganevat but very much it’s own thing. Seems a little thin but there’s no telling if it’s on the way up or down. This wine can evolve for years under good conditions and I’ve had great bottles from the seventies and late sixties.
