September 14, 2012 - Blackberry, vanilla, dark fruit, meat and violet aromas. Medium-bodied with coarse tannins and flavors of plum, black fruit, oak and spice. The oak stands out a bit too much.

July 26, 2011 - Has not held together well. Also displayed some brett. Fruit is sound and sweet. Oak, red fruit and spices. short finish.

December 23, 2009 - last bottle. Smells good, nice fruit and complexity. good deep red with purple center.
    Popped and poured thru Vinturi.
Good fruit on entry but fades fast to tannins in the mouth. good acidity. Some spiciness coming thru in the mouth - finishes with a bit of heat.
I think it just needs to breath as the finish is long and broad. I think there is something that needs to come out as it warms and breathes. will finish these notes later.
After an hour open, it isn't really coming together.

April 19, 2009 - Not as outstanding as last bottle. Some bottle variation going on!
