March 5, 2024 - über mehrere Tage getrunken. Kommt jetzt ins Trinkfenster, das ich mag. Schmelzig, gelbe Früchte, mittlerer Abgang. Sehr trinkig. Die Säure könnte etwas präziser sein, das ist aber wohl dem Jahrgang geschuldet. Macht Spaß und wird auch noch lange Spaß bereiten.

December 27, 2023 - Wow! I love finding Rieslings that have aromatic and flavor hints of red berries. This is one of those. Strawberry and raspberry. And just a touch of petrol. Made my day!!

Excellent!

April 14, 2018 - Splendid wine indeed. Color is bright transparent gold, on the nose it is sublime, providing ample citrus, honey, flowers slightly saline and simply gorgeous and difficult to stop enjoying the aromas! On the palate, oh boy, it is round and oily on entering, mid palate is creating a wave by itself to deliver in the backend a stunning energy of fresh mineral, bitter/sweet grapefruit, honey and the kept in check by an incredibly fresh tannin. This mid palate is quite stunning as at one point the sweet/oily fruits and above qualities is clashing into a big wave letting the backend elements surface. After the liquide has gone down to your throat, you are left kind of speechless, so that you can enjoy the stunning reverberation, in your body, your soul and most definitely carving a deep memory into your brain. Cheers,

(Dönnhoff Schlossböckelheimer Felsenberg Riesling Spätlese "Felsentürmchen") ($42.00) The sirloin section of Schlossböckelheimer Felsenberg has given us a miracle in 2011. A stop-you-in-your-tracks fragrance. Nahe Riesling – the greatest smell on earth! This is the utter breathing soul of Riesling; salty energy, dreamy echoes, the last vibrations of the pealing bells; it firms up and gets fruitier with oxygen; the finish is primordial, iron and pine. Riesling at its most shamanic. +++
