September 9, 2017 - What a difference ten years makes! Dug this out of the cellar to enjoy with steak, and it has improved markedly. Still got plenty of life in it, but now it's much more approachable. Deep ruby-black, Shiraz pepper, oodles of jammy fruit in a balanced package, and a long satisfying finish. Definitely underrated here on CT.

May 30, 2015 - A good example of a wine that is dark, dense, and fruity, with a very reasonable price. However, it also features a combination of traits that I struggle to like together: very ripe, quite alcoholic (15.5%), dryingly and roughly tannic, and laced with sweetness, with each pulling the wine in different and unintegrated directions.

February 26, 2015 - Very pleasant. A bit hot due to the high alcohol content. I wouldn't hold this any longer.

January 19, 2015 - Very tasty. Nice smooth, rounded tannins. Very "fresh" for 10 years.

December 18, 2011 - Still drinking quite well as my case was well cellared. Big, jammy and one helluva value. Stands up quite with a pepper steak. Much smoother than you would expect from a high alcohol wine, not hot at all. An impressive effort. I'll drink the two bottles I have left this winter.
