Community Tasting Notes 5

November 8, 2013 - This is a bit different from last April. Lemony fruit is still there but an oddly strong lactic, almost creamy edge that is present this time. And I find it just a bit disturbing. My friends don't see the problem, so maybe it's just me. Palate impression is fine though, this might have become just a bit more rounder and even softer, but not excessively so. Very good for a village still.

April 3, 2013 - Beautiful aromas consist of lemons, stones and such, offering a delicious sniff. This delivers in the mouth as well, crisp and tasty. Quite elegant at first, this gains more dimension as time goes by and begs you to taste it again and again. Excellent village level Chablis.

January 6, 2013 - A very fresh nose of lemon, wet rock and smoke. Some black pepper also. On the palate ripe, lean and very clean. Quite restrained but very harmonious. Flavor profile is very similar to that of the nose. The lingering stony finish leaves a fresh mouthfeel. The acidity is not at a hardcore level but definitely more than adequate, providing a good lift. Flavorwise this is perhaps a bit simple but for pairing with food this definitely delivers whatever one would expect from a village-level Chablis. A very well made wine.
