December 14, 2008 - This was really a surprise. It's drinking great right now. Still plenty of fruit with plenty of sweetish tannins on the finish. I wish I had a few more bottles. I rarely disagree with James Laube of Wine Spectator but he either drank this one too early, had a bad bottle or just plain missed.

September 18, 2008 - Wine still great - perfect timing. Great structure with cassis and raspberry notes forward followed by the oak that holds the midpalette together until the smooth finish.

October 23, 2007 - Not as good as the '97, but one of the best Showket Sangiovese's I've had. My favorite CA Sangio producer. Bright and fruity, with a lot of complexity.Good balance between fruit and wood. Not a trace of green-ness. A little acidic, but that really helped it counter the grilled brats.
