October 24, 2020 - Gorgeous nose of acacia and white flowers. Whiff of petrol. Bright stone fruit and honey. Good acidity and balance.
November 28, 2019 - Excellent prelude to a Thanksgiving dinner.
November 20, 2019 - Standard bouquet, light straw color. Full body. Boysenberry and apricot flavors. Medium to long length and pleasant finish.
March 13, 2019 - [05 12] Tasted next to 2018 Domprobst Spätlese. Much less primary fruit on the nose, much more settled with herbal notes, minerality, hints of flowers, smoke. On the palate good concentration of fruit, smooth, great acidity, quite vibrant with good length. Nice mineral bite to the finish. 91-93
October 28, 2018 - This was very decent but lacked real focus & verve. Maybe the 2011s aren't for the long term.

C: Light yellow with a tinge of green
N: That familiar Mosel whiff of petrol
P: Light body, very slight spritz on opening. Seems barely sweet. Very good length and balance, that precision Schaefer taste. Still young, has many years ahead of it, but drinks nicely.
May 17, 2017 - Beautifully balanced, good acidity, peach/apricot , apple blossom honey
December 5, 2016 - Been a while since my last visit with this one. Several changes worthy of note. Golden straw in color with distinct aromas of red apple, gooseberry, baking spice, white flowers and slight hint of petrol. Soft velvet-like texture on the palate with vibrant acidity that held up after consuming over an entire week. Long mouth coating finish. Delicious now and should be very interesting down the road.
January 17, 2016 - Excellent wine! No TN, but this wine has come together in a beautiful manner. Its sweet but with bright acidity and good minerality.

C: clear
P: Sweet but not oily. Delicate, interesting, very long, very elegant. Notes of white flowers. Extremely precise. A really great wine, should continue to develop.
