January 21, 2014 - this one opened extremely funky, and I put it aside, figuring it was done. But 30 minutes later it was drinkable. Not sure it's still terrific, though.

January 23, 2013 - This bottle had a whiff of butterscotch on the nose. Uh-oh, this was my last bottle. Time to get more.

January 21, 2013 - Fresh, funky, balanced, with bright notes of pepper and cinnamon. Love this wine.

November 20, 2012 - Light, translucent ruby/purple. On opening, quite a bit of brett/barnyard, on both the nose and palate - not unpleasant, but overpowering the other notes. 2nd day the brett is now beautifully integrated and plays more like straw/grass, along with lip-smacking fresh red fruits. A surprisingly long finish. Assertive, distinctive, and delicious, with outstanding QPR at $15 from Chambers Street Wines in NYC.

August 21, 2012 - This continues to please. Again, not the depth of the CRB version--but not the cost, either. This is nearly a perfect summer bistro wine. Served chilled, it will go with just about anything except delicate fish. A very good alternative to summer rose.
