June 4, 2021 - Good nose, not all that strong. Good flame just a touch on the jammy side. Would have preferred more body. Do like it none the less
September 28, 2020 - First impression was cherry, and finish turned to boysenberry. Not terribly powerful, but a nice drink.
June 7, 2020 - I opened the wine as it has been marked past the drinkability window and indeed it has turned. The cork was soft at the top but preserved well at the bottom when I finally got I put. Down the drain.
May 16, 2020 - Quietly stunning, even after all these years. Leather and tobacco in the front, elegant mid-palette and a vibrant, acidic finish.
August 4, 2018 - My last, purposely held back. Still huge fruit, moderate tannins. Great job Justin.
November 14, 2017 - The last of this great vintage. The sad thing is, there are still tannins that show more years to come. Its so hard to tell when to finish your last bottle.
The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, plum, light toast, oak and vanilla. It tastes like red licorice, plum and cinnamon. The body is medium/full. The wine has leathery texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.
September 13, 2017 - decanted 2 hrs. classic rich Justin flavors, but a hint of bitterness on the finish. Hoped for more.
March 17, 2017 - This wine is ready to drink. Long finish with no tannins.
September 30, 2014 - Very jammy boysenberry bouquet. Smooth and silky cab with a complex finish. Great all around cab to go with a variety of foods. Drinking very well now.
September 27, 2013 - A nice bottle, but i was expecting more. Can taste the Cherry characteristics from the first taste. I bet this bottle will improve over time.
