August 5, 2014 - A nice expression of WWV Merlot. Fruit forward but with gripping tannins that follow as well as some oak towards the end of the palate. Well made and will cellar for a few more years if you aren't ready to enjoy it now.

January 24, 2013 - Decanted about one hour. Deep crimson color. Aromas of chocolate, plum, cherry and boysenberry. On the full side of medium-bodied, with firm tannin and flavors of vanilla, plum and ripe dark fruit; perhaps a little too ripe. After another hour the ripe undertones fade away, and the fruit is a bit brighter. Give it a couple of hours of air or hold for a couple of years.

The palate has ripe fruit flavors and chalky tannins with bright acidity. 94% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged 16 months in American, European, and French oak. 14.6% alcohol. 560 cases produced.
