September 10, 2021 - Light red, translucent color fading towards brown. Bitter fruit, cranberry notes - licorice pastilles. Opens up nicely with air, lean bodied, good acidity. A truly unique wine.
May 24, 2019 - A beautiful wine. Faded red color, you can stick your nose in the glass and get lost. Sad to only have one left.
October 12, 2018 - Still going strong. Another awesome bottle. Introduced another geek to Puffeney and he loved it. Very pretty wine.
May 13, 2018 - My last one. Corked, alas.
May 8, 2016 - Solid. A favorite and 2010 seems to be a very good vintage. Only 4 bottles left, don't touch for 3-4 years -- think this still as at least 7-10 plus years. Still bright and crunchy with lots of acid -- balanced with lots of red fruit. It's tragic that Puffeney decided to step back and only produce a very limited amount of wine -- wish I had many more of his red wines downstairs.....
April 4, 2016 - After two failed bottles this one landed with aplomb. Tart cherry, not quite ripe strawberry, hint of wild herbs, pale red color. Not for everyone surely but delicious with our roast chicken.
March 6, 2016 - Dead.
December 18, 2015 - Last bottle showed well, but this new bottle was shot, bitter and done. Oh well.
November 23, 2015 - Still pretty. First night: a bit sharp, subtle strawberries, smooth. Second night: a bit fuller and wilder, more fruit, nicely balanced. This wine probably better about a year ago when fruit was a bit more evident but very interesting to see how gracefully they age--though admittedly not to all tastes.
May 17, 2014 - Another really pretty bottle, similar notes to the bottle I opened last year.
