April 22, 2023 - Still going strong. Lots of years ahead. Took me back to my Oz days. Distinctive "I'm a big wine" fruit and tannin. But enjoyable, although don't think I'd want to drink this style regularly.

December 20, 2021 - Decanted unnecessarily. Not much different than my last bottle. This wine is an easy drinker as there really isn't much to it. It's not off putting in any way other than it's pretty lean and low on fruit with a vacant palate. The wine is well made but low in fruit, acids and tannic structure. Most likely is way past its prime. Drink up or use for cooking purposes.

October 7, 2020 - Deep purplish ruby red. Punch of black olives on the nose with dark spices, dried meats and black plums. Medium to medium plus body with soft tannins (6/10) and balanced acidity. Layered palate with black berries, cedar, minerality, and a bit of sweet spices. Long finish. Drink till 2028.

October 4, 2020 - At a really good point now. I had another bottle a few years ago (no notes) which was also very good, although a bit young at the time. Even though I'm not usually a big fan of Oz shiraz, I really like this one. It tastes rather similar to some of the better California syrahs - good, intense fruit, all in balance, not a fruit bomb.
