  November 13, 2021 - Wow still primary and still a big wine. Nice nose of some dried flowers and bay laurel. Dark fruits like blackberries and elderberries, still lots of wood, still very structured and tannic but really starting to open up. Long drying finish. Still great acidity, paired nicely with some aged cheddar whose fat just cut this wine so harmoniously. Man this is surprising big for its age, for me it could go 5 more years easy, just starting to hit its stride. Another example of what time can do for certain Napa Valley wines. Unfortunately most of them are killed to early in their cellar life, I am as guilty as the rest of you…

  December 8, 2020 - Last one.... End of the Latitude legacy of Gus Anderson. This is the real Anderson legend in Napa. His son, Todd, "conveniently" leaves any mention of him out. Have had wine made by both. Todd's juice is sophomoric in comparison to Gus... RIP my old friend!
