April 21, 2020 - Color starting to fade to red/violet. Lovely nose. Christmas pudding, fruitcake, plum, fig. Same on the palate. Plus dates, blueberry jam, some woody notes, dark chocolate, and grape jelly. Very complex. Soft, not exceptionally sweet and there is a slight bitter edge to it that is a nice contrast to the sweetness. Great length. Beautiful wine.

January 24, 2020 - Smakad på BLHprovning hemma. Överraskande god, står sig bra mot Taylor och Graham. Spara länge än...

January 18, 2020 - Smokey cherry color. I pulled this out as a night cap and it was tight. On night two, it couldn’t be any different. Open, lush, viscous, sexy and laying on a bed of fruit. Still primary. Demi-sweet. Figs, raisins, toffee and finished with a pop of chocolate covered cherry. Fine, dusty tannins. Somehow, I only have one of these. Bin end? Not sure how that happened, but I may have to rectify this situation. I prefer them at least 25 years out and the forecast for this wine at 25-35 years out is stellar. 93

December 24, 2019 - Difficult one. Almost no discernible nose on decanting. Not at all what I am used to for an almost 20 year old port. On the other hand, explosive in the mouth with too many layers of flavor to enumerate. Quite youthful still. Excellent grip and a finish that goes on for ever. Still short of what I expect from Dow.

May 4, 2019 - Even after decanted thru aerator and lots of swirling, this wasn't giving up much. Lots of coaxing and time finally gave way to fig, earth and berries. Needs more time or really long decant.

(DOW'S PORT) #4; NOSE-chalky, cocoa, mocha, Starbucks, TASTE-Wow! a really polished port, less heat & more integrated fruit than Broadbent, classic chocolate, blueberry on mid-palate, sweeter, finish falls off a little; RP-94, GV-90
