March 30, 2020 - This was a very pleasant surprise. I wasn’t expecting much but this was well balanced Rioja that just needed some time to knit itself together. Crunchy red cherry, dill vanilla, minerality, and soil. 13.5% abv.

April 5, 2015 - Black, sweet fruit on the nose and a ton of oak. Slightly overripe, plummy, ruby port. Does not seem balanced, and wouldn't age any further. If you like softer, new world style wines, or ripe oaky Riberas this is a nice option, not for me though.

December 6, 2013 - Solid, traditional profile, some dusty, grippy cherry, darkish overall, moderate American oak influence, shows best in the finish, which seems promising

October 27, 2013 - Tart sweet dried red cherry with with grippy, oaky tannins. A medium long finish. Undoubtedly Spanish and a wine best served with food, but unlike most young Riojas, this was better as a pop and pour on day one than days 2-3 because the fruit counters the acid and oak/tannins. I guess too much oak my palate. 13.5% abv.
