August 21, 2021 - About the same as a bottle a year and a half ago. Inky color and a nice nose. Blueberries, stones, and a little tapenade. Solid finish. Solid wine, in fact - not a religious experience, but...solid. Better on the second night, which suggests (at least to me) that it has at least a couple more years of useful life ahead of it.

August 9, 2021 - Continued to improve from my last tastings - needed air to show complexity. Black in the glass. Dark fruit, tobacco, saline and granite and touch of oak (with air only). Medium body, medium+ acidity, medium tannins and long finish. Palate consistent with nose. 92+

July 2, 2021 - Blue and black fruits with very light olive, tobacco and floral notes in the background. Good concentration and acidity. I like this.

April 27, 2021 - Needs a good hour or 2 in the decanter. Very savory, stony, and meaty with fruit tones only in the background...as is Cornas tradition. Drink or hold another year or 2.

January 18, 2020 - Took to a party, so all I had was one small sip right after opening and a four ounce pour an hour or so later. Seems to punch above its weight. Dark fruits and hint of herbs and tapenade. Very well balanced and should hold (and maybe improve) for several more years.

December 14, 2019 - Lots of sediment. Blue fruit with olive tapenade accents. A hint of something earthy/savory. This seems slightly polished, but it is delicious and easy to drink. I wish I had more than one bottle left.

November 10, 2019 - Deep crimson semi-opaque. A: not giving much and open for many hours, in glasses for hours — seemed in a dumb phase rather than tired. Gave up a bit of animal, bbq, and pepper in the nose. F: muted red fruit and pepper, wouldn’t budge to offer more. Too bad.

October 28, 2019 - PnP. Fairly dark purple in color. Smells of herbs, olive tapenade. Nice savory notes. Kind of viscous. A lot going on here. Evolving complexity. A wine to contemplate.

September 22, 2019 - Dark purple with purple core; juicy cranberry, grapey, red currant, and roasty notes and a hint of charcoal. this was very rustic and very tangy, almost cheap tasting compared to the other heavy hitter wines (ok, it wasn't that expensive). Blind
