January 13, 2024 - Great. At 14 years this is still fresh and vibrant, but certainly mature. Pepper and blood. Dark berries. Totally in balance.

April 8, 2023 - Deep purple. No off smells. Moderate body. Good fruit in the finish. Tannins evident. Still very young. Delightful wine.

February 1, 2023 - PnP, dark purple to inky in color. Smoky black fruit and a slight brine to the nose. Palate is a subtly bitter blend of more red than black fruit, black licorice, green olive, hint of Coke Classic on the finish. Full-bodied, tingly/spicy mid-palate, decent length finish, maybe a bit clipped. Interesting wine.

January 9, 2023 - 95% Syrah/5% Grenache. Crazy good wine at 13-years old. Blackberry, blueberry, and dark plums. Wonderful, silky texture to it yet bold mid-palate nots of violets, crushed rock, spice, fresh herbs, and subtle bacon fat? Smooth tannins, long finish. Fantastic now but no rush...this is built for the long haul.

September 12, 2022 - Tasted blind. Dark as night, some savory/meaty syrah notes, but also dark fruit and a little heat. 12 years old? Can't be. Bottle said 14.1%, but this seemed bigger. Nice wine (I love Paso), but this seemed more like a one glass wine.

September 22, 2021 - My only regret is that we don't have anymore. These wines are so rich and rewarding, but require significant aging. I own 95% of their wines I have purchased still. certainly worth it for someone who is young enough to appreciate them over time.

July 29, 2021 - Whoa...this is epic! 95% Syrah/5% Grenache. Blackberry, dark blueberry, and plum. Beautiful core of floral notes along with crushed rock, spice, herbs, smoke, vanilla, and subtle bacon fat. Smooth tannins, long finish. This is wonderfully complex right now after 10+ years and is wonderfully balanced. One of the better wines I have had this year.
