June 10, 2021 - Drank as part of a large Middle Mosel Grand Cru dinner. This was delicious and incredibly fresh. Wonder notes of lime infused slate.

May 27, 2021 - Tasted blind. Petrol, ripe physalis and yellow plums. Slightly toasty, nice sweetness and acidity but very balanced. Quite fat for a Prum.

November 15, 2020 - Joh. Jos. Prum Graacher Himmelreich auslese 2004. Very nice and definite german sweet wine. This was typical reisling with nice mid-intensity fruit with citrus notes but that seemed to drop away in the mouth. Almost like it was there then gone, coupled with a (very) slight lack of freshness. Well balanced and drinkable. Drank over 3 nights-similar each night (stored after vac-u-vin). Not convinced it would benefit from more aging (at least this particular bottle).

October 3, 2020 - Seems like a 16 year old wine shouldn't be too young, but have to agree with other reviews - this wine has years to go before it hits its sweet spot. That said, it's in an entirely pleasant place now, but substantially less than it will ultimately be. Slippery pale gold, reticent nose, rather straightforward green apple and slate flavors. Beautiful balance of fruit and acidity. Gulpable.

August 14, 2020 - So lovely with florals, petrol, honeyed apricots, and unctuous mouthfeel. Long, long clean finish. Loved it now, perhaps too early, guess I should be more patient for the next ones based on other notes.

(Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese) Tight mineral and lime nose; tart lime, clementine, mineral palate; medium-plus finish

(J.J. Prum Graacher Himmelreich Auslese) Major sulfur on the nose here...but hey..look where I'm tasting. Baking spices but not much else on the closed nose. Zingy acids and wonderfully complex palate make this a joy to drink now but this is holding a ton in reserve. The purity in this wine was astounding.
