May 27, 2023 - 15 years after my first bottle, this one seems… thin?
April 28, 2023 - Faulty cork
December 24, 2022 - Showing surprisingly young and fresh; it will easily go another decade or more. A subtle sweetness finds itself well-balanced between lively acidity and fresh fruit.
October 8, 2022 - [1st of 12 bottles]
Wonderful aged JJ Prum, med golden orange color. Honey ladened stone fruit, ripe apricot, and orchard fruit with not too much sugar on the long long finish. Acid is still vibrant and the tertiary notes are developing nicely. Definitely in its drinking window, but there is no rush to drink it.
Compared to the 2002 JJ Prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spatlese and the 2002 JJ Prum Graacher Himmelreich Spatlese, I would put this right under the Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spatlese, although it was very close. 93-94 pts
September 7, 2022 - Superb form with damaged cork, abricot, peach, light and easy drinkable
September 6, 2022 - Peaches, tangerines, apricots. While sweet it had lots of acidity to balance... very long. Can still age for 20 years easy
April 11, 2022 - Bad bottle
June 10, 2021 - Drank as part of a large Middle Mosel Grand Cru dinner. This was delicious and incredibly fresh. Wonder notes of lime infused slate.
May 27, 2021 - Tasted blind. Petrol, ripe physalis and yellow plums. Slightly toasty, nice sweetness and acidity but very balanced. Quite fat for a Prum.
April 24, 2021 - Magnificent 6 Ride Again: Mint, graphite and slate, orange peel on the nose. Delicious mineral driven palate, fresh with vitality and lift. Acid sweeps in beautifully. Young and driven.
