July 30, 2012 - (B) Dark purple color. Jammy, ripe nose with a fair amount of oak. The palate is ripe boysenberry fruits with some nutmeg spice notes. A bit one dimensional and a touch fatty. Slightly gritty tannins. Decanting is very necessary, perhaps needs a couple years in bottle. Can't pinpoint the grapes, but I would guess syrah, merlot, and something I can't quite place.
