June 6, 2012 - Neutral, limpid color with the slightest green highlights. Very closed and muted nose that is barely noticeable: faint florals, distant minerality, springwater. Crisp, fresh and quite high in acid, but lacking in flavor: some faint apple notes and that's it. Nothing else. Short, crisp finish with some acidity.
This seems like a thin and neutral wine that was too acidic, so it was watered down to get the acidity to more reasonable levels, diluting the flavors even further. That's how weak this stuff is. This is weak stuff even for an Italian Pinot Grigio, which I normally find too thin and neutral. Extremely boring and bland stuff. A complete rip-off at 9,99€ for a one-liter plastic bottle. Why on earth anyone would plant something like Pinot Gris in Sicily. NOT RECOMMENDED.
