July 24, 2020 - This is so much better than the 2012 vintage. Very reassuring with everything in the right place, lemon/lime, honey on toast and plenty of zing. Very happy now. :-)

August 11, 2019 - The wine has turned a deep yellow colour suggesting that it has little further development. My recollection is that this wine had a dose of Sauvignon Blanc in it and it certainly has a most uncharacteristic Hunter semillon character. Tropical fruits in a Hunter semillon. I think not! The cellar door staff were appalled by the decision of the bean counters to undertake this ridiculous decision. Never to be repeated.

April 27, 2018 - Pale straw colour. Nice body, bouquet of citrus and fruit. On the palate, nice body and length with the smoothness from a light dash of honey accompanied by a bit of crisp lime on the finish. Some toastiness starting to show but very much in the background. A pleasing Hunter Valley Semillon that will develop further with more cellar time.

March 25, 2016 - Just starting to open up at 5 years.
Color is still pale yellow. Nose has citrus and just a hint of the secondary waxy aromas that will come to the foreground in the next few years. Palate is lovely and crisp, still has a hint of that typical young hunter Semillon battery acid. Will surely evolve into a most enjoyable wine over the next 5 to 10 years. -

December 14, 2015 - The wine looks light gold colored.
It smells like tart lemons, mineral (chalk) and straw a little. It tastes like chalky lemon and some floral. The body is light/medium. The wine finishes light/medium.
The wine has still a noticeable acidity, still good to go for some years.
My bottle was a clearance sale so I'm sure about provenance, but the wine does feel young.
Very enjoyable. Wishing I had more.
