October 7, 2019 - Confessing to drinking this in its adolescence. Lovely now but ideal starting 2030-

September 19, 2019 - Medium garnet. Red bell pepper, red cherry, ripe tomato, damp earth and subtle menthol aromas. Restrained red fruit but clean, fresh and elegant. Gently insistent tannins. Medium acidity and persistence. The finish feels rough, even hot, against the back of the throat. Surprising given the 12.5% alcohol.

August 30, 2019 - 2nd of 6 bottles, brought with us to NY to share with Skip.
Beautiful Cab Franc, showing off notes of wet soil, bell pepper, barnyard, and a mix of black and red fruits.
Showing a gorgeous texture on the palate, with refined tannins and beautiful supporting acidity, this is a wine made for the long haul.
What incredible value at $25 USD per bottle. Drink now through 2027+.

August 12, 2019 - Splendid stuff. All the hallmarks and none of the faults.

Green pepper, graphite, and hay. Earthy and aromatic the whole way.

Great pair for a hearty lamb stew.

July 1, 2019 - Salted tomato skins, peppers, good lift. A swell combo, presenring lots of opportunities at the table. The Loire continues to deliver complexity and value across the spectrum.
