February 20, 2004 - Poured at a retailer tasting. Inky purple color. Notes of violets and blackberry. Dryer flavor than expected.

May 31, 2003 - Elevenses at Quinta do Bomfin (Douro): This has a good nose with lots of character, though less fruit than the two preceding rubies. Very attractive on the attack. A nice elegant port. the fruit comes charging along, delivering dried fruit and nut flavours on the finish.
