October 19, 2015 - In a great place right now.. but I think it will even get better in an couple of years. So full of flavor, but the tannin and minerality are adding such an amazing balance.. great.. With Thai Food

This is the same tasting note as a year ago.. the wine has gotten even more tied together.. The acidity is lowish here and now the apricot has come out.. I love their "serious" whites when they are 4-8 years old

November 15, 2013 - Hell yes, more please. I think my favorite vintage of this wine to date. Best at cellar temperature with a decant. As a fan of skin-contact whites, this is one of the few where I feel I can still get the Roussanne along with all the skin phenolics. In addition to all the hebal, tannic, citrus zest from the skins, there's a real honeyed, sappy quality as well. Super floral, grippy and more-ish. Unfiltered and shows it, with both some general haziness and tartrate crystals. Great as a cocktail wine, amazing with food - tonight with seared ahi over noodles and a simple salad.

November 9, 2013 - Nerdy California Wines (Domaine - Washington, DC): An orange-lemon color. Smells like orange peel, flowers, a hint of iodine. Rich and oily on the palate, but the acidic concentration is awesome. Flavors of green apple, orange marmalade, mixed nuts, baking spices. Lots of complexity here. Unlike many Cali Roussannes, this wine restrains itself, and offers some intrigue. Delicious.

September 30, 2013 - Lovely golden orange color with spiced orange peel and hints of floral and lanolin aromas. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, dry, and nicely balanced with a wonderful vein of acidity, present but subtle tannins, and ample apple, nectarine, and sweet spice flavors. Long finish 13.5% alcohol

February 7, 2013 - A big improvement over the/a previous vintage I have tried, I am still not 100% convinced on Roussanne as an extended skin ferment wine, although it holds promise.
Even a great Roussanne from Kinero, now blended with some some contact portions, I think I preferred prior, or would like less.

Its also possible (probable) that an 2011 'orange' wine with this much skin contact would benefit greatly with more bottle aging, just
many 2011 reds are very young, though released.

Its a geek wine for sure, and well made.

Very cloudy, burnt orange color, tartrates (bravo) at bottom.
Orange peel, spice, herbal note, on nose
On palate, good structure, viscosity - baked orange, baked apple, nectarine. Good finish.
