June 24, 2018 - Super duper corked. So stinky our server noticed it immediately on pulling the cork without even smelling the bottle or cork directly.
November 3, 2017 - Tasted Corked.. Cork just crumbled.. color was light and cloudy... never seen a ridge wine look this light...
April 10, 2013 - Full of fire and dried plum when opened, then settled into a lovely and complex smoky, earthen drink with a long finish that carried us through our 3 hour dinner at Greens Restaurant. Wish I had more.
May 22, 2012 - People who say this wine is past its prime are crazy. Still plenty of dried cherries. The age has softened the tannins. This is one of the most food friendly wines I have ever tasted. I am rarely disappointed with Paul Draper projects.
May 4, 2012 - past it's prime but still very drinkable
August 21, 2011 - Nice wine. Cherry cough syrup, charcoal, and raspberry leaf on the nose. Medium weight, resolved tannins. Sweet raspberries and black pepper in the mouth. Surprisingly complex. Drink now.
July 25, 2011 - Seamless, at her peek!
May 24, 2011 - Opened by Anwar as part of a 1999, 2002 and 2003 vertical. My favorite of the 3. The most fruit forward without being over the top. Solid tannins. 90 points.
April 5, 2011 - Drink now. Will not improve. Probably was better a year or two ago.
November 4, 2010 - Medium-dark red color. Aromas of cherry, currant, and chocolate. On the palate, this shows some dusty cherry and currant flavors with a blackberry and milk chocolate mid-palate and some slight roasted fruit characters into a medium finish. This doesn't offend, but doesn't really invite you back on its own. Serve with roasted or braised meats, perhaps. Structurally sound for keeping, but no further improvement anticipated. Drink.
