January 12, 2017 - Was a little closed on opening, but started showing layers of complexity after about 10-15 minutes in the glass.
Still loads of primary fruit. Cassis, plum and dark berries with notes of tobacco and aniseed in the background. Drinking really nicely right now with quite a few years left in it. Too bad this was my last bottle. -

January 8, 2017 - Definitely more new world with lavish oak and ripe dark fruit. The structure is brawy with dense edgy tannins and decent acidity. Looking back on my prior notes it is clear my palate has changed but I still find this to be a good wine.
