October 20, 2022 - 97 points. Opened this for Tommy & Ariel’s wedding. The age on this was absolutely stunning. Balanced and bold and smooth.
May 4, 2022 - Had with a fabulous grilled Five Dot boneless ribeye. Slight bricking, otherwise bright ruby, almost beet colored. Slight 'grittiness' on entry, not at all unpleasant. Black berries, pencil shavings, leather. First impression, really lovely. Then went a bit flat, then settled into a solid presentation, ended with a final impression of heat. On the whole, quite lovely, if inconsistent.
March 16, 2021 - Over the hill, waited too long.
December 26, 2020 - Cork crumbled immediately. No real perceptible nose, taste before decanting is fairly flat, mostly just the alcohol. Perhaps it is on the edge of "there may be something left in there," but not desirable to drink. After 30 minute decant, no perceptible change. After a three hour decant the alcohol had dissipated, and there was nothing there after all. Very unfortunate.
December 26, 2020 - Funny that I see my last bottle was drank in 2012 where I was concerned that it might be at fully maturity... I was wrong!
Beautiful now, popped and poured, and in 15 minutes it was beautifully open, balanced with ripe fruit and a bit of sweet oak. Not showing any age.
December 6, 2020 - Bad. Aged out. Waited too long, lost our investment in some quality wines.
July 28, 2019 - Tasting great at 18 years. Bottle decant for 30 minutes and the aromas were jumping out the glass and the aged fruit delivered layer upon layer of flavor. Great finish.
December 24, 2018 - Still drinking well. Lush, dark berry, vanilla, long finish -- everything you would expect from Isosceles.
March 21, 2016 - After an hour of being decanted the Venturi still helped the fruit come out. Lovely bottle of wine.
November 22, 2015 - Delicious. Eucalyptus, dark fruit good acid still has great structure for the age
