February 4, 2017 - Not bad but nothing special. Nice dark fruit aromas and flavors, but not much depth or secondary flavors. Maybe past its peak? Will try again with a decant and see.
November 6, 2016 - Pine Ridge has tried too hard to create a broad portfolio... or are they just being creative in using up excess juice.
this was simple and a little thin.
February 26, 2016 - Similar notes to our last bottle in 2014. Smooth and elegant, the Merlot influence still dominating. Did not decant this time.
August 7, 2015 - Outstanding. Smooth and elegant.
August 25, 2014 - Excellent blend, dense opaque deep red color, needs some time to aerate. Has nose of pepper, cassis, hint of tobacco, and blue fruit. Fruit and some brown spice on the palate. Tannins firm and in balance. Medium to long finish. Could stand to age longer to mellow out a bit andet the fruit speak a little louder.
August 22, 2014 - For Caroline’s b’day with grilled blackened yellowfin. Started off with a rosé pétillant Pinot Noir.
April 27, 2014 - An excellent blend, as good or better than the other vintages that we've had. Opens up nicely in the glass, recommend decanting for an hour or two. The merlot influence is obvious, creates a very smooth and elegant wine.
January 4, 2014 - Dark fruit nose. Cranberry, cinnamon and hints of tobacco on the palat. Finishes with vanilla and dark almost bitter chocolate. Wish I had more in my cellar. Cheers.
November 17, 2013 - Nose of black fruit and baking spice. Palate of black cherry, blackberry, vanilla on top of soft tannins. Well integrated and drinking beautifully. Medium plus finish.
October 19, 2013 - Soft berry notes paired with overtones of baking spice, tobacco, leather, vanilla. Very black cherry cobbler on the nose.
