September 23, 2018 - My last bottle, and it drank the best. *see previous notes

Same notes as the previous bottle consumed earlier this year, but a little more refined. Softer, and a tad more sophisticated. Still big and bold, with meaty characteristics, and a medium tobacco like finish. Was great with grilled chicken tonight although red meat would have been a better pairing. A very good value wine that is drinking at its peak now. Great experience visiting the winery years ago.

February 12, 2018 - Drank over two nights....

    Deep dark murky purple.
Meaty, leather, burnt oak, wet undergrowth
Age is showing nicely. Big bold wine that tastes like its nose,
Medium finish. Thick and viscous. A little 'gritty".

The wine is at its peak, and is drinking nicely. However, this is a food pairing wine for sure. It's a little abrasive on its own. Still enjoyable, especially with the grilled lambsicles and Korean ribs.

October 19, 2017 - Deep ox-blood, full bodied, high ABV
Ash, cigar box, dark fruit, some oak and vanilla (faint)
Robust, meaty, earthy, dark plums, long finish, kiss of whiskey on the finish. Taste follows the nose. Better as a food pairing wine.

Good value. Cool little winery-nice owners.

    June 23, 2017 - Kirkkaan veren punainen
    Tuoksu herukkainen vadelmainen rypäleinen lantainen
    Maku tanniininen sikaria boysenmarjaa
Liian nuori edelleen. Päivän ollut auki ja 2h dekantoitu silti tosi tiukka
    Avaa seuraava aikaisintaan 2020

January 16, 2017 - Consumed over two nights
Deep, dark inky purple. Full bodied. High ABV
Some oak and vanilla. Strong minerality. Chalky, slate, black berries.
Evergreen Forest floor. Dry, medium finish. Lots of tension. Very linear.
Tastes like the nose, with some aggressive fruit off the first sip.

Having visited this winery years ago, it's nice to see them still putting out respectable bottles of wine. Good Stuff!!!!
