October 23, 2019 - This wine is drinking well with no significant hints of getting old. Strawberry and raspberry fruit is still fresh ahd bright. All the flavors blend well together and show a nice full mouth in the middle. Finish is tangy, and slightly tingly with smooth subtle tannins. Lots more years of good life here

April 10, 2017 - Drank this with a fried chicken that had heavy black pepper and the wine picked up and highly accentuated the pepper spice on the middle of the tongue. The body was medium-heavy with tart pie cheery and light plum. The middle is where the pepper spice blasted through and the finish had medium tannin that hung on along with the pepper. It went well with the chicken but the pepper flavor was BIG so consider if you will enjoy that if you are having a peppery dish to eat.

March 9, 2015 - The cork was sunken and somewhat compromised. Gunk collected inside the foil. I was nervous. But Chad was fine. Consistent with my 2014 tasting notes. Lovely and delightful in aromas and palate. I will enjoy the rest of this lot soon, while at its peak.

January 26, 2015 - I agree this bottle is in a beautiful spot - by far the best of the 6 we had. Tastes like it was twice the cost - beautiful red fruits, smooth silky tanins, relatively long finish.

November 15, 2014 - Wow. A year after my previous bottle, this 2010 Carneros has rocketed up 5 points in my estimation. Light bodied, bright ruby, bountiful nose filled with flowers and fruits. The palate is now luscious, balancing appealing acidity with satisfying smoothness; blueberries, dark cherries, and cranberries mellow into a suave finish. As always, Chad is rad.

June 7, 2014 - Nice balance and smooth taste. A bit of acidity on the front and sour cherries and very light raspberries. Nice soft tannic finish.

April 20, 2014 - This bottle seemed to have a bit of VA that I downgraded it for. It tasted bright and had a nice tart cherry. Finish was light and slight tea tannin -87 Won't put it in the CT system this time

January 26, 2014 - Won't add another rating at this point so I don't bias the CT rating too much. Consistent with my past ratings. I like this pinot; give it an hour to open up and you will enjoy it more
