September 21, 2017 - Plum and blueberry fruit. Then some earthy, meaty goodness. Bold flavors and then a short finish. Better before the meal than with it.

8/31/2020 Bottle time seems to have helped the structure. Still lots of earthy goodness and Pinot funk, but winds down slower than what my first note indicates.

December 19, 2014 - Medicinal cola with some menthol on the finish. Not as rounded as most vintages and a little sharp. Love the balance, but some of the flavors are off, even for your typical ripe California PN.

November 17, 2014 - A very nice Pinot. Some earthiness but plenty of fruit. Probably a bit young right now; but still enjoyable.

November 10, 2014 - Tasted with the Loring with the same grape and vintage - this had a more peppery taste. Love them both

February 11, 2014 - Paired with salmon prepared by daughter, Beth. Really superb -- both the salmon dinner and the wine. This bottler has become my favorite California pinot noir provider.

June 13, 2013 - 11 months 45% new French oak. Nose is a little muted, lets some briny earth show. Fairly big on palette for Russian River. Little sour cherry on the otherwise bright finish. Pretty interesting stuff. Only 150 cases made.

January 19, 2013 - Blueberry and raspberry on the nose with some salinity. Hints of vanilla from the oak. Flinty quality. Flavors of acai, blueberry, pomegranate, cranberry and wild berry. Great pure fruit quality. Fresh. Some sweet oak nuance. Zesty and nice.
