  October 28, 2012 - Medium red. A Pinot like nose of cherries and dusty earth. Good syrah. In the mouth: Light spice, cherry, and a bit of tobacco.

  October 26, 2012 - As a Syrah lover, I love the nose here.. The fruit is very expressive, but there's a touch of Old World barnyard that is very appealing. This wine is very balanced at this point in its life with many different perceptible flavors and textures: sweet red fruit, brooding dark fruit, salty olive, a smooth front palate, fine tannin on the midpalate, and a slight bitter end. I'd like just a little bit more swell in the midpalate, but that's nitpicking at this point; however, I'd say that if you're holding, break them out and drink them now.
