November 16, 2019 - shared with pat at selkirk manor to celebrate the end of the work week. originally tasted and enjoyed this wine at Nicholas Restaurant Lobster Dinner presented in 2014. paired with lobster bouillabaisse in a pungent sauce. since the wine held up to the dish i felt comfortable holding on to the bottle hoping to learn more as i don't have broad experience with burgundy. at this point, i have to agree with others who describe the wine as fairly light and straightforward. unfortunately, i don't recall the food pairing for this tasting but i would suggest pairing with light fair as a supporting rather than an enhancing element. although the wine is till sound, would also suggest drinking in the near term.
April 2, 2017 - Light, fruit forward and ultimately delicious with an excellent finish. Perhaps growing with age this is an excellent time to open and enjoy.
October 5, 2015 - Not bad, but nothing to write home about. Medium purple color, modest nose. Raspberry and unripe plum dominate. Lots of acidity, could use more balance.
February 18, 2015 - Light garner, lots of acidity. Fresh, but a bit disappointing in terms of fruit. Heavy berry flavor,
July 8, 2013 - Slight, but still enjoyable effort. Had hoped for more from this house and vintage.
March 24, 2013 - A bit on the slight side, improved a bit an hour after decanting. Tasty and uncomplicated.
October 7, 2012 - Earthy nose with sweet raspberry jam notes. Light bodied and silky in the mouth with a good concentration of red fruits. Low in tannins. Finished nicely. A rather simple but tasty burgundy.
