March 23, 2024 - This was a very nice bottle but one that did not provide as much pleasure and harmony as I had anticipated. A bit acidic with good color and still slightly tannic, suggesting greater longevity and possibly better things to come, but I don't believe this bottle would have had much more to give with more age. Well stored throughout its life.

November 19, 2021 - A truly wonderful Barolo, undoubtedly the best I've ever had. The structure is extraordinary, acidity and tannin still tingle all round the mouth. The wine presented as still quite young and primary, very little tertiary notes. Medium bodied (my memory of previous bottles is that they were fuller bodied - but it is 10 years since I last had a bottle), so I think the body is beginning to decline. The fruit notes are still fresh, black and red forest berries. Long finish and multi-layered. Drinking now but will last for many years yet.

May 7, 2021 - Goodbye Dinner for a Friend Moving to Willamette (Osteria Langhe - Chicago IL): Nowhere near the quality level or yumminess of previous bottle. This came across as slightly tired and possibly a bit volatile. This was a tough night for mid-aged Barolo.

March 2, 2021 - Luscious fruit here and a very soft palate. Modest complexity.
