October 31, 2020 - Decanted for an hour. A very nice nose of cassis with a. touch of barnyard, classic, and quite strong, the heat of the year showing through. The palate is also dominated by strong dark fruit, feels it is at its peak. I'm quite sure this won't be getting any better, very good now.

October 8, 2016 - Perfect Boredeaux nose of dark fruit, vanilla and slight garrigue. After 13 years this is velvet on the initial palate with mild cassis and blueberry. The soft tannins linger into a more jammy finish with a hint of chocolate at the end. Great example of Margeaux at a very reasonable price.

October 11, 2014 - One of the best wines I have ever had. Smooth yet full bodied

February 6, 2013 - Good quality Medoc 5th growth, with medium ruby color, and a developing and fairly intense, complex nose of blackcurrant, blackberry, liquorice, cloves, toast, chocolate and forest floor. Medium in acidity, the tannin is a bit grippy in my opinion. The wine is fairly full-bodied, with a reasonably intense palate of blackberry, dark plum, prune, liquorice and toast. Finishing with a reasonable length, it is ready to drink now and can benefit from further ageing of another 2-3 years.

September 25, 2011 - Half bottle is drinking beautifully. Certainly seems to be at its peak, but can hold for another 5+ years. Not sure if it will get better though.
