December 2, 2021 - Opened and double decanted for an hour. Served with pizza. Became quite nice after 2 hours. Strong black fruit attack; tight tannins which need food; lightweight in body; ends with a dry and sharp finish. Good. Definitely needs food to drink with.
October 17, 2020 - Heavy stewed fruit, beef and beef blood. Disappointing lack of energy, structure or complexity. Just kind of a blunt instrument.

October 19, 2019 - A quiet stunner. Even after all these years, it's a seamless balance of deep, dark fruit and bold structure. Paired with steak, arugula and great friends.
April 26, 2019 - On PnP, the acidity stood out and dominated this wine. With air, it balanced out and was bright and tasty.

April 27, 2018 - Love the nose and taste of 7% Viognier in the mix. A pnp, drank in 45 min., wine was delicious & changing. Drink one soon.
October 28, 2017 - Beautiful floral nose with slightly tart blue and black fruits. This has higher than expected acidity and is very much in balance. I was prepared for a bigger fruit bomb wine, but was pleasantly surprised with how nice this was.
September 11, 2017 - Corked, but you could taste beautiful fruit lying underneath. Too bad.
