September 12, 2021 - Seventh bottle since 2016, all notes 95-100. Still dark garnet-purple, completely opaque. Extremely viscous...crawls slowly down the glass. Very pronounced Northern Rhone style aromas of blackberries, cassis, toasted French oak, smoke, and bacon fat. Full-bodied, plenty of dark fruits with roasted meat flavors, perfectly balanced with fruit, acid, and tannin. The aftertaste is dark, rich, and full, but there is some bitterness, which detracted slightly. By the second night it was gone. Very drinkable now, but can easily go many more years. I'll plan to drink one about every year.

April 29, 2021 - I guess I’m an outlier here, I found this very average. The sour funk was overpowering everything for the first five hours in the decanter. It started to soften in the nose and gained some violet floral notes, but after eight hours it had yet to come together. Bottled it and revisited the next night without dramatic improvement. Probably the most disappointing Cayuse Syrah I’ve had, and I typically enjoy En Chamberlin.
