September 19, 2015 - When I open a MD wine I know what to expect, big, jammy, ripe, sweet, extracted, alcoholic and this did not dissapoint. The problem I had with this particular bottle was the complexity or lack of! Plenty of alcohol and sweetness, a touch of blackberry, blackcherry, certainly not undrinkable, just kinda boring, maybe this particular bottle was a bit off, don't matter my last as well as my only!

August 15, 2014 - Ap: clear dark purple red
Ar: sweet fruit, mocca and coffee. Good intensity.
Full bodied and unbalanced. Too much sweetness on the palate for my taste.
The finish could be better

love this. havent had a molly d in years but this was just divine. there's enough behind the scene tar and oak to keep the fruit exploitation in check.
remembering why i used to love this when i first go into wine. seeking out some 05 carnvial of love now!
April 25, 2014 - 3 hour decant, the bouquet is all dark fruit, little else is apparent, even after this long exposed to the air. Very dark in appearance, this is a jammy, syrupy affair with little acidity and no tannins to speak of. This is a rich, one dimensional black fruit blowout. I drank a very savory aglianico prior to this and the contrast was dramatic!
April 25, 2014 - Decanted for right around 3 hours before consuming. Very, very fruit forward to the nose and the taste. Heavy dark berry smell with a hint of alcohol. I imagine this wine will get better with age. It's not especially tannic. Has a lingering sweet berry with a hint of red licorice taste with a decent finish. I do like it but would prefer to drink it again in a couple years to see how it compares.
