April 20, 2024 - Excellent bottle. Still youthful. Fruit opens up well. No need for long decant.

March 8, 2024 - Now into my second case, this delivers consistently. For myself, this is by far the greatest vintage produced by the estate, with only the 1990 coming anywhere near. As with a few of the right bankers from 2000, this has been in its peak drinking window for the last 5 years, but with a structure that should keep it at this level for at least another decade. Tasted blind, you would swear it was a top Pomerol. It is liquid velvet with a deeply seductive nose of ripe red berry fruits underpinned with floral notes. The depth and balance on the palate are faultless, and if the finish was longer, it would merit another point. This, and the Bellevue are my favourite St.Emilions from 2000, and among the best priced, and great value for money.

February 16, 2024 - Audozed three hours and it was just right. I wasn't so much a fan of this RB wine on release, but time has been kind to it. Lovely melange of currants, tobacco, forest, soil, etc. A confident medium>medium+ body with good structure, fresh acids, etc. Should continue to hold and will certainly develop some more tertiary character. Fun to revisit all these years later. Enjoy now or in the coming decade depending on your preferences. highly recommended

January 20, 2024 - Deep garnet, nose of black cherry, black plum, blackberry, blackcurrant, raspberry, redcurrant, leather, smoke, toast, coffee, chocolate & tobacco. Good weight, strong acidity, ripe and juicy tannings. To taste black cherry, red cherry, raspberry, strawberry, blackcurrant, black pepper, spice, cedar, toast, smoke, leather, meat & coffee. Long. Outstanding. Super balance, lots of intensity, complexity and definition. In a great place with fruit still very present, but plenty of other complexity. Ready to go depending on your taste preferences, with plenty of time in hand.

December 2, 2023 - Quick decant and on to it. Quite complex but on the rustic side. Certainly well kept bottle but based on prior notes this bottle may have aged quicker than others'. We'll see with the next bottle but I'm prob gonna open it within the next year to correctly project my other bottles.

May 1, 2023 - Tasted regularly, this is without doubt the greatest from the estate drinking and is the embodiment of the right bank wines from one of the most iconic vintages in our recent times. The right bankers are far ahead of their left bank siblings from the year, and already displaying secondary and tertiary notes, but with at least a good decade of prime drinking ahead of it. Taste profile is as per previous, but interestingly a distinct floral background of lavender and violet has appeared during the last year end palate. Highly recommended.

April 15, 2023 - Great, tertiary Bordeaux notes, very aromatic. Dense and fruity with strong structure. An aristocratic, top Bordeaux on its peak plateau. Drink now till 2030.

January 28, 2023 - Dark ruby red; P&P over an hour; nose brought tart red cherries, green cardamom and a little pepper finish; with a little time the nose develops a mild turpentine, wood spirits note.
Very pleasant in a Asian( Indian) food profile, less so with French Cuisine
