January 11, 2020 - The wine has medium acidity. It smells like red currant, cherry and cedar. The wine finishes long. It tastes like black pepper, strawberry, red currant, black currant (cassis) and rose. The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. The wine has juicy texture.

August 24, 2019 - It’s been a few years since I had this and it’s still tannic. The wine is delicious and the finish seems to last forever.

April 29, 2018 - Clear, medium ruby color. Fully developed aromatics. Definitely more tertiary notes with lots of balsamic and ginger along with dried and cooked red fruits (i.e., currant, red berries, red plum, cherry) in the mix. Dry red wine. Pronounced flavors of leather, tobacco, dried ginger, balsamic, stewed red berries, dried cherries, and cooked red plum. Full bodied and high alcohol. Medium plus acidity and high tannin lead to a long finish. Outstanding wine showing concentrated aromas and flavors, wonderful balance, long length and unbelievable complexity. Great with a chargrilled ribeye.

June 5, 2017 - Opens with classic CA fruit but, with an hour or two of air, it starts to lean more Bordeaux-esque. There's a rustic earthiness that echoes Pessac-Leognan on the midpalate, followed by woodsy and herbal flourishes over dusty red fruit in the close. Still plenty of fine grained tannin here, so this should have at least 4-5 good years ahead of it.
