March 5, 2021 - 2006 Flavio Roddolo Barbera d’Alba Superiore - Bricco Appiani
Dark and dense purple red. Aroma of chunky dark cherries, leather, noble wood, licorice, tar, flowers and spice. ,
Medium-bodied+ with brilliant acidity and very discrete tannins. Excellent length.
Impressive and complex barbera, still going strong at 15 yrs. The wizard of Monforte! 93p

December 22, 2018 - Deep red with light red rim. Open nose of ripe cherries. Some spice, licorice. Warm fruit.
Tight and pure cherry palate. Fresh.Taste lingers on. Warm and long finish. Great Barbera! -
