September 20, 2019 - Decanted for one hour. Cassis, herbs currant, plum fruit, and violets on the nose and palate. Medium tannins and finish. Drinking nicely.

June 30, 2019 - Purchased from the winery on release. Heavy oak and high alcohol have taken this in an unfortunate direction eight and a half years on. Almost opaque, over-extracted, seriously over-oaked, no fruit or acidity, strong vanilla on the nose and palate, 15.2% alc. (from Washington state), silty, a small amount of sediment. This wine did improve after several hours of decanting, but it remained inelegant throughout.

June 7, 2019 - Very dark fruit, still tightly wound. Could use more time or a longer decant. Lots here to look forward to.

May 15, 2019 - Two hours after opening, this wind again is flat like the prior bottle. Just lacking depth and complexity. There are dry and dusty tannins, but there’s really no fruit. Once again, I’ll comment that this wind seems to be The dumb thing is, but I really don’t know if the wind will improve or if this is the beginning of the downhill slide.
